A keto-friendly, protein-packed twist on a cheeseburger – all the flavor without the bun!
Ingredients:
- 1.5 lbs ground beef (or ground turkey)
- 6 slices bacon, cooked & crumbled
- 1 small onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp mustard powder
- 1 tsp paprika
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
- 4 large eggs
- ½ cup heavy cream
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese, divided
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- Burger toppings for serving: pickles, lettuce, tomato, sugar-free ketchup
Optional Add-ins:
- ½ cup sautéed mushrooms
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- ¼ tsp cayenne pepper (for heat)
Instructions:
1. Brown the Beef
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
In a skillet, cook beef, onion, and garlic until no pink remains. Drain fat, then stir in seasonings.
2. Make the Egg Mixture
Whisk together eggs, heavy cream, 1 cup cheddar, and mozzarella.
3. Layer & Bake
- Spread beef mixture in a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Pour egg mixture evenly over the top.
- Sprinkle with remaining 1 cup cheddar and bacon crumbles.
- Bake 20-25 minutes until set and golden.
4. Serve
Let cool 5 minutes. Top with fresh toppings and drizzle with sugar-free ketchup or mayo.
