Ingredients:
Base Layer:
- 2 cups pretzel sticks, crushed (about ½ cup when crushed)
- ½ cup creamy peanut butter
- ¼ cup honey or maple syrup
- 2 tbsp butter, melted
Caramel Layer:
- 1 cup soft caramels, unwrapped (or ½ cup caramel sauce)
- 1 tbsp heavy cream or milk
Topping:
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 tbsp coconut oil (or butter)
- Flaky sea salt, for sprinkling
Instructions:
1. Make the Base
- Line an 8×8-inch pan with parchment paper.
- Mix crushed pretzels, peanut butter, honey, and melted butter until combined.
- Press firmly into the pan and freeze for 10 minutes.
2. Add Caramel Layer
- Microwave caramels and cream in 30-second intervals, stirring until smooth.
- Pour over the pretzel base, spreading evenly.
- Freeze for 10 minutes to set.
3. Add Chocolate Topping
- Melt chocolate chips and coconut oil in the microwave (30-second intervals, stirring).
- Pour over the caramel layer, spreading smoothly.
- Sprinkle with sea salt and extra crushed pretzels (optional).
4. Chill & Slice
Refrigerate for 1 hour (or freeze 20 mins) until firm. Cut into squares and serve!
